The marriage certificate can be handled in other places, but it must be the place where one party's registered residence is located. If the city where both parties live all the year round is not the registered residence of both parties, it is not allowed to apply for a marriage certificate in that city. To apply for a marriage certificate in another city, it is necessary to prepare a valid resident ID card and household registration book, and pay attention to the opening hours of the local civil affairs bureau.
1、 Conditions for obtaining a marriage certificate
According to the newly issued Civil Code of the People's Republic of China (Marriage and Family Code), the conditions for marriage are as follows:
1. Marriage should be voluntary, and both men and women should be completely willing to marry. It is prohibited for either party to force the other, and any organization or individual to interfere.
2. The legal age for marriage shall not be earlier than 22 years old for men and 20 years old for women.
3. In situations where marriage is prohibited, direct blood relatives or collateral blood relatives within three generations are prohibited from getting married.
4. Neither party has a spouse.
2、 Materials required for obtaining a marriage certificate
1. Both parties' household registration books and resident identity cards.
2. I have no spouse and no direct blood relationship or collateral blood relationship within three generations with the other party.
