According to relevant laws and regulations in China, the background color of the marriage certificate photo is red. When applying for marriage registration, the parties involved need to submit three 2-inch recent half body bareheaded photos with a red background to the civil affairs department. The photos can be taken in advance outside or at the registration office.
1、 Requirements for Marriage Certificate Photos
1. It must be a group photo of two people.
2. The background photo is usually red.
3. The photo must be a recent 2-inch bareheaded group photo.
4. Do not use life photos or art photos, let alone composite images.
5. Do not excessively plot.
6. The exposed part of the person in the photo is usually from chest to shoulder.
2、 Marriage registration materials
1. Resident ID cards of both parties.
2. Household register of both parties (or collective registered residence certificate).
3. Proof of current marital status.
4. I hereby declare that I have no spouse and no direct blood relationship or collateral blood relationship within three generations with the other party.
5. Three recent two inch half length bareheaded couple photos (can also be taken on-site at the Civil Affairs Bureau).
