According to Article 5 of China's Marriage Registration Regulations, mainland residents who apply for marriage registration shall provide their household registration book, ID card, and a signed declaration stating that they have no spouse and no direct blood relatives or collateral blood relatives within three generations with the other party. In addition, those who divorce need to carry the relevant proof materials of divorce, and those with collective household registration need to carry the permanent population registration card or registered residence certificate.

Article 6 of the Marriage Registration Regulations
1. Those who have not reached the legal age for marriage;
2. Not voluntarily agreed upon by both parties;
3. One or both parties already have spouses;
4. Belonging to direct blood relatives or collateral blood relatives within three generations;
5. Suffering from diseases that are medically considered unsuitable for marriage.
